“The Microsoft Power Platform® Community App Challenge”
Challenge Official Rules

1.            SPONSOR

These Official Rules (“Rules”) govern the operation of The Microsoft Power Platform® Challenge (“Challenge”). Agile Dialogs, S.L. with Tax Id ESB84599323 (AgileXRM) is the only Challenge sponsor (“Sponsor”).
 

2.            DEFINITIONS

In these Rules, "AgileXRM", "we", "our", and "us" refer to Sponsor and “you” and "yourself" refers to a Challenge participant. By entering you agree to be bound by these rules.
 

3.            THE CHALLENGE

The objective of this Challenge is to find the best design-patterns and the most appropriate set of components to be used, when creating enterprise-class solutions.

The participants should build a “Travel Request Approval App” responding to different requirements that will be released at different Stages of the Challenge and published on AgileXRM website while the Challenge period is active.
 

4.            CHALLENGE PERIOD

The Challenge starts at 12:01 a.m. Central European Time (CET) on July 18th, 2022 and ends at 11:59 p.m. CET on December 21, 2022 (“Entry Period”).

The Registration Period begins at 12:01 a.m. CET on July 18th, 2022 and ends at 11:59 p.m. CET on September 16, 2022. Only those participants registered in this Period will be eligible to continue in the Challenge.

The Timeline for the different Stages of the Challenge is detailed as follows:

  • Stage 1 Entries should arrive before end of 16-Sep-2022. At this point, no further Registrations are allowed.

  • Stage 1 Evaluation by Judges takes 2 weeks, and those who pass are notified (on 3-Oct-2022)

  • Stage 2 Requirements published as well at this time

  • Stage 2 Entries should arrive before end of 21-Oct-2022

  • Stage 2 Evaluation by Judges takes 2 weeks, and those who pass are notified (on 7-Nov-2022)

  • Stage 3 Requirements published as well at this time

  • Stage 3 Entries should arrive before end of 9-Dec-2022

  • Stage 3 Final Evaluation by Judges takes 2 weeks, and the Winner and the Runner Up, their solutions and the decision criteria are all published on 21-Dec-2022

The different Stages of the Challenge refer to a corresponding set of requirements that the Entries should respond to. The different Stage requirements will be published on AgileXRM website and notified to all participants at the beginning of each Stage.

5.            ELIGIBILITY

This is a trade Challenge open only to registered participants. AgileXRM employees, their relatives and AgileXRM Partners’ employees and their relatives, the judges, their relatives and co-workers, Microsoft employees and their relatives are not eligible to participate. 

If you are participating in your capacity as an employee, it is your sole responsibility to comply with your employer’s gift policies. AgileXRM will not be party to any disputes or actions related to this matter.

AgileXRM is committed to complying with government gift and ethics rules and therefore government and public sector employees are not eligible to enter.

Where a cash prize cannot be accepted by a prize winner, AgileXRM will accept to instead pay to a Charity.

6.            REGISTER AND SUBMIT

To Register for free as a participant, you need to fill the forms on the Challenge page on our web site.

The Entry limit is one per person. In order to Submit an Entry, the participants will use the corresponding form on the Challenge page of our web site.

We are not responsible for excess, lost, late, or incomplete entries. If disputed, entries will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address.

7.            ELIGIBLE ENTRY

To be eligible, an Entry must meet the following content/technical requirements:

  • Your Entry must be your own original work; and

  • Your Entry cannot have been selected as a winner in any other contest; and

  • You must have obtained any and all consents, approvals, or licenses required for you to submit your Entry; and

  • To the extent that Entry requires the submission of user-generated content such as software, photos, videos, music, artwork, essays, etc., entrants warrant that their Entry is their original work, has not been copied from others without permission or apparent rights, and does not violate the privacy, intellectual property rights, or other rights of any other person or entity.

  • Your Entry may NOT contain, as determined by us in our sole and absolute discretion, any content that is obscene or offensive, violent, defamatory, disparaging or illegal, or that promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco or a particular political agenda, or that communicates messages that may reflect negatively on the goodwill of any business, specifically of those companies which licensed software is used to build any Entry.
     

8.            USE OF YOUR ENTRY

We are not claiming ownership rights to your Submission. However, by submitting an Entry, you grant us an irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide right and license to use, review, assess, test and otherwise analyze your Entry and all its content in connection with this Challenge and use your Entry in any media whatsoever now known or later invented for any non-commercial or commercial purpose, including, but not limited to, the marketing, sale or promotion of our products or services, without further permission from you. You will not receive any compensation or credit for use of your Entry, other than what is described in these Official Rules.

By entering you acknowledge that we may have developed or commissioned materials similar or identical to your Entry and you waive any claims resulting from any similarities to your Entry. Further you understand that we will not restrict work assignments of representatives who have had access to your Entry and you agree that use of information in our representatives’ unaided memories in the development or deployment of our products or services does not create liability for us under this agreement or copyright or trade secret law.

Details of your Entry may be posted on a public website. We are not responsible for any unauthorized use of your Entry by visitors to this website. We are not obligated to use your Entry for any purpose, even if it has been selected as a winning Entry.

Personal data you provide while entering this Challenge will be used by AgileXRM and/or its agents and prize fulfillers acting on AgileXRM’s behalf only for the administration and operation of this Challenge and in accordance with the AgileXRM Privacy Statement.

 

9.            ENTRY SELECTION AND EVALUATION

Pending confirmation of eligibility, potential prize winners will be selected by a qualified judging panel from among all eligible Entries received based on the following scoring criteria:

  • Requirements Coverage – 35 points – Minimum pass score 30 points

  • Low-Code – 10 Points

  • Resilient – 10 Points

  • Maintainable and Extensible – 10 Points

  • User Adoption – 10 Points

  • Replicable and Scalable – 10 Points

  • Low-Cost – 10 Points

  • “Like factor” – 5 Points

Winners/qualifiers will be selected from amongst all eligible entries received within 14 days following each Stage end date.

The decisions of the judges are final and binding.

The will be a non-competing entry by AgileXRM that will also be evaluated by the judges. Its purpose is for reference and educational reasons only.

10.         PRIZES

The following prizes are assigned to the Challenge:

  • The Stage 3 Winner, will receive a prize of USD $5,000 and a further USD $5,000 donated to their chosen charity. And Winner will also receive FREE perpetual AgileXRM CE Licenses for 500 Users. Winner should have achieved at least 90 points.

  • If there is no Winner due to a score lower than 90, the Prize for the entry with the highest score is USD $1,000 Prize plus $1,000 donation to the chosen charity and FREE perpetual AgileXRM CE licenses for 500 Users.

  • The Stage 3 Runner Up will receive a prize of USD $1,000 and a further USD $1,000 donated to their chosen charity. And Runner Up will also receive FREE perpetual AgileXRM CE Licenses for 200 Users. The Runner Up should have achieved at least 80 points

  • If there is no Runner Up due to a score lower than 80, the Prize for the entry with the second highest score is USD $200 Prize plus $200 donation to the chosen charity and FREE perpetual AgileXRM CE licenses for 200 Users.

  • Entries who reach Stage 3 but the Runner Up or the Winner, receive FREE perpetual AgileXRM CE Licenses for 100 Users

  • Entries who reach Stage 2 and do not promote to Stage 3 receive FREE perpetual AgileXRM CE Licenses for 50 Users.
     

At the end of each of the 3 Stages of the Challenge, we may publish on our media the list of the qualifiers (or their nickname if that is what they have indicated).

 

The FREE perpetual AgileXRM CE licenses offered in each of the prizes include the indicated number of Users in a Single-Server deployment.

We will only award one (1) prize(s) per person/company during the Challenge Period. No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded. No substitution, transfer, or assignment of prize permitted (except to Charities). Prizes will be sent no later than 28 days after participant selection at the end of the Challenge. Prize winners may be required to complete and return prize claim and / or tax forms (“Forms”) within the deadline stated in the awarded notification. Taxes on the prize, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner, who is advised to seek independent counsel regarding the tax implications of accepting a prize. By accepting a prize, you agree that AgileXRM may use your Entry, name, image and hometown online and in print, or in any other media, in connection with this Challenge without payment or compensation to you, except where prohibited by law.

 

11.         GENERAL CONDITIONS AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

To the extent allowed by law, by entering you agree to release and hold harmless AgileXRM and its respective partners, subsidiaries, affiliates, employees and agents from any and all liability or any injury, loss or damage of any kind arising in connection with this Challenge or any prize won.

All local laws apply. The decisions of AgileXRM are final and binding

We reserve the right to cancel, change or suspend this Challenge for any reason, including cheating, technology failure, catastrophe, war or any other unforeseen or unexpected event that affects the integrity of this Challenge, whether human or mechanical. If the integrity of the Challenge cannot be restored, we may select winners from among all eligible entries received before we had to cancel, change or suspend the Challenge.

 

12.         GOVERNING LAW

This Challenge will be governed by the laws of Spain, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts of Madrid for any disputes arising out of this Challenge.
